Weston Wild (Select) 2006/2007 Accomplishments
Weston Wild (Select) kicked off it’s first year with over 350 players on 20 teams from U9-U19. We are extremely proud of our players and coaches who represented our organization with great sportsmanship, honor and a winning attitude. We are also proud to have joined forces with Puma to outfit our players and coaches. Our partnership with Puma also ensures that our organization and players gain the recognition that is consistent with that of the premier soccer programs in the country.

About Weston Wild (Select)

Weston Wild (Select) provides a developmental approach and challenging environment for our soccer players. The Select Teams participate in tournaments throughout the year including the Plantation Thanksgiving Tournament, Jupiter Presidents Day Tournament, South Florida Spring Fling Tournament, the Disney Memorial Day Tournament AND THEY ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE JULY 2008 NATIONAL GAMES IN HAWAII.

Weston Wild (Select) is an extension of the core AYSO program and is geared to allow players to continue to develop their skills, confidence and passion for the game within a challenging environment. AYSO is dedicated to providing every one of our members a rewarding soccer experience that promotes sportsmanship, team work and an overall love of the game.

Each player in our core program and select program is a valued participant. Our teams follow the AYSO values and philosophies so that every player is treated with respect and given every opportunity to be successful.

In order to tryout for a select team a player must be at least 8 years old and registered to the AYSO U10 division or above for the Fall 2007 season. Registration for the Fall Season is currently ongoing. Tryouts for Weston Wild (Select) will take place in September.

For the fee of $75 (which includes registration; two Puma team uniforms; two practice shirts and Sack Pak) the participant will play in the ten game AYSO inter-regional league, friendlies and AYSO State Games. All this for just $75!!! This is far less than any other soccer program in South Florida.

The Weston Wild program continues to reach new heights as teams consistently reach the finals of tournaments and take home the Championship title. Byron Merino, Weston Wild, Director of Coaching and Player Development said... “Our philosophy with regards to player development, the passion and dedication of the players and coaches as well as the support of the parents has allowed our program to succeed. Every member of our organization deserves to be recognized for the success of the teams.”
